Moneris was part of the panel on “Compliance vs. Corruption: an Unequal Struggle?”, moderated by António Costa, Publisher of Eco,and with the participation of the Portuguese Compliance and Regulatory Observatory and the law firms Cuatrecasas and Vieira de Almeida.
Rui Pedro Almeida, CEO of Moneris, warns of a tendency to face compliance issues reactively. “The importance of having compliance processes adapted to the reality of each company is directly related to the effectiveness of the measures to be applied,” he says.
