Moneris present at the Employability Week of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS)

The 8th edition of the Week of Employability of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) began in a joint organization with AAIPS – Academic Association of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal.

Moneris will participate in the Job Fair, being present on March 9, to share their career opportunities in the areas of accounting, human resources management and information systems and meet the finalist students

The opening of the 8th edition took place with Professor Angela Lemos, newly elected President of IPS, welcomed the whole community and reinforced the role of IPS in the training of students and adults and in the proximity relationship with organizations.

AAIPS President Rodrigo Rente presented an inspiring speech addressed to finalist students and highlighted some of the differentiating factors of IPS.

Dr Miguel Cabrita – Assistant Secretary of State for Labour and Vocational Training took stock of the labour market in the context of the pandemic, stressed the importance of employment support measures and changes to labour legislation to protect workers and young people in particular. He also made several suggestions for the employability of the finalist students and shared very relevant reflections for the future of the labour market.

This was followed by the conference with the theme “the post-Covid19 job market” composed of a panel composed of members of the IPS alumni network.

Francisco Fernandes, Partner of Moneris, presented some trends that have an impact on the labor market and some challenges and opportunities in a post-covid scenario, as well as some proposals presented in the context of the public discussion of the Green Paper for the future of work.

João Rodrigues, shared the good practices of @Aubay Portugal before, during and post-COVID.

Paula Lampreia shared an insight into the skills that are valued by employers.
