Are there any changes to the formalities of service?

Yes, on 19/04 a temporary regime entered into force concerning the formalities of service and postal service, provided for in procedural and procedural laws and postal parcel sending services, in the context of the COVID-19 disease pandemic.

The collection of the signature on the delivery of registered mail and parcels shall be suspended until the exceptional situation of prevention, containment, mitigation and treatment of epidemiological infection by SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 disease ceases.

In the event of refusal to submit and provide the data referred to above, the distributor of the postal service shall draw note of the incident in the letter or acknowledgement of receipt and return it to the sending entity.

The collection of the signature is replaced by verbal identification and collection of the citizen card number, or any other suitable means of identification, upon its presentation and affixing of the date on which the collection was made.

In such cases, and whatever the process or procedure, the act of certification of the occurrence shall be valid as service, depending on the case.
