The Government has launched the Reinforce Program, a package of measures worth 10 billion euros, aimed at supporting national companies in the face of international instability and the new tariffs imposed by the US. This program aims to strengthen competitiveness, foster exports and promote the internationalization of the Portuguese economy.
Main Axes of the Program:
- Business Financing:
- 5,185 million euros through the Portuguese Development Bank (BPF), with guarantees to facilitate access to credit and strengthen the working capital of companies;
- New line of 3,500 million euros, with maturities between 4 and 12 years, including 400 million euros in non-repayable grants to support business investment.
- Export Credit Insurance:
- Reinforcement of ceilings by 1,200 million euros, covering not only emerging but also traditional markets, with bonus policies and premiums, facilitating access especially for exporting SMEs.

- Support for Internationalization:
- 200 million euros to expand the support programs for Collective Actions (SIAC Internationalization) and Individual Actions (Internationalization of SMEs) for internationalization, allowing companies to participate in more international fairs, develop marketing strategies and increase their presence in foreign markets.

- Complement with Portugal 2030 and PRR:
- Notices of application to be launched in 2025, in the amount of 2,640 million euros, focused on areas such as innovation, decarbonization, qualification and productive investment;
