The 2019 analysis with a strategic vision on 2020

This year with a more complete and comprehensive version, the Moneris Tourism Yearbook counts on the contributions of some of the main players in the sector, in addition to including an extraordinary analysis to the first quarter of 2020, justified by the abrupt drop in all dynamics associated with Tourism, due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19.

Moneris’ Tourism Yearbook presents the performance of the sector in 2019, with the most relevant national and regional indicators, but not only. This is an essential document for reflection on the sector, which addresses the challenges and strategies of relaunching the sector in the context of COVID-19, as well as some key areas in the development of this activity, such as International Mobility and Technology and Digitalization.

In addition to the perspectives and opinion articles of the Moneris Tourism Competence Center, this yearbook aggregates the contributions of The Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, the Managing Director of DHM, Francisco Moser, the CEO of Ombria Resort, Júlio Delgado, the President of APAVT, Pedro Costa Ferreira, the Chairman of ICOMIA, Martinho Fortunato, and the CEO of VOQUIN’ , Diogo Assis.

How can Moneris help?

At the Moneris Tourism Skills Centre we bring together a group of experienced and specialized professionals in the sector, with the aim of proactively thinking about their challenges, needs and opportunities

We have developed a model to support the specific management for the sector, which serves as support to managers and market agents, for a conscious and informed decision-making, especially in this phase of adaptation and relaunch of the activity with very specific and limiting requirements.

It is essential to assess the state of the art, plan the resumption of activities, implement safety and public health measures, resort to the incentives and extraordinary measures that are being made available, adjust business plans, treasury plans, business plans and restructure the company’s strategy.
