In the week in which the first notice of the competition for Productive Innovation under Portugal 2030 will be known, the Specific Regulation of the Thematic Area of Innovation and Digital Transition is already available, which establishes the common provisions applicable to the Incentive Systems of the new Community framework.
In addition, this Regulation defines the specific provisions applicable under the Business Competitiveness Incentive Scheme, of which the following support shall be included:
- Productive Innovation;
- Qualification and Internationalization of SMEs.
Without yet knowing the warnings of each of these supports, it is already possible to advance that:
- The competition that will be launched this week in relation to Productive Innovation will give priority to the Registration of Aid Applications, which according to the Regulation have the duty to submit applications in the first available notice;
- The rate of support for the qualification and internationalisation of SMEs rises from 45% to 50% in this new Community framework.

According to the Regulation now known, and given the volume of registered application intentions, it is expected that this first notice will be exclusively dedicated to the Registration of Application for Assistance. However, by the end of 2023, it is expected to open 3 more notices under this programme.
The opening of calls for tenders for the Qualification and Internationalisation of SMEs will also be forthcoming, with support rates reinforced in this new programme.
