Moneris will participate in the 3rd edition of The Future of Cities Summit, which this year brings to the Algarve the debate on water management and energy efficiency, two major challenges for the future of cities, especially in the southern region of the country.
After Porto and Lisbon, this year it is Albufeira that hosts this forum for discussion and sharing of ideas for the construction of smarter and more sustainable cities for the future, once again with the support of Moneris.
Pedro Neto, Partner at Moneris in Corporate Finance, is part of a panel dedicated to Energy Efficiency in the Tourism Sector, alongside many other experts, moderated by Cecília Meireles, Partner at Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão and former Secretary of State for Tourism.
In another panel, dedicated to the challenges of water management in Tourism, the role of technology in the sustainability of the sector will be discussed. There are also several keynote speakers – André Gomes, President of the Algarve Tourism Region; Pedro Siza Vieira, PLMJ partner and former Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transformation; Luís Serra Coelho, Director of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve; among others.
The event will be opened by the British Ambassador to Portugal, Lisa Bandari, and the President of AHETA, Hélder Martins. The closing will be in charge of Rui Almeida, President of the Portuguese-British Chamber of Commerce and CEO and Managing Partner of Moneris.
