In order to facilitate and encourage the use of electronic payment instruments (card-based payments), the following measures have been established:
- suspension of commissions on payment transactions;
- beneficiaries providing automatic payment terminals may not refuse or limit the acceptance of cards for payment of any goods or services, regardless of the value of the transaction;
- increase the maximum amount to make payments with contactless technology to 50 euros, above the current 20 euros, and banks will make this change progressively.
