GoFact, a technology start-up owned by Moneris, closes an investment round of the 1520 Innovation Fund, an investment fund launched by CTT to support innovation activities in small and medium-sized companies and start-ups.
Rui Pedro Almeida, CEO and Managing Partner of Moneris, says that “with this capital injection by the CTT Group fund, another important step is taken in the growth and development of GoFact, a fintech that is part of the Moneris Technology and Entrepreneurship Hub, managed from our technology and innovation arm, Moneris Innovation Lab.”
This investment also confirms the enormous potential for scalability and usability of the products developed in the software house in which Moneris participates.
“GoFact is thus recognized for its differentiating strategy and vision in a highly competitive market, and its commitment to R&D and artificial intelligence in the development of financial and document management solutions at the service of companies and individuals is reinforced”, guarantees Hugo Pinto, CEO and Founder of GoFact.
Moneris made its entry into GoFact’s capital in 2021, having then acquired 30% of its capital.
This investment reaffirmed Moneris’ position as a leading company in innovation and development, also marking its entry into the ecosystem of technology and fintech startups.
With the entry of the 1520 Innovation Fund in the capital of GoFact, it now has 4 reference investors, with equal positions: Hugo Pinto, CEO and founder of the company, Codeware, Moneris, and the CTT Group fund.
“This investment in GoFact is part of a dynamic of acceleration of investments in our 1520 Fund in high-potential companies and in areas that are priorities in CTT’s innovation agenda”, says Nuno Matos, Director of Digital, New Channels and Innovation at CTT. “
With a rapid and exceptional growth in its market value, GoFact now has the goal of continuing to develop, streamline and diversify its technological products and services.
This process of continued focus on the innovation of management support solutions for SMEs will be carried out with the continuous monitoring and encouragement of Moneris and its technology and innovation ecosystem.
